Ramsgate Conservancy Festival Walk – Sunday 5th August (Marine Ramble & Wild Frangipani Trail)

A quick reminder about Sunday’s walk, starting at the Ramsgate Whale Deck.

6:30am (30mins) Relaxing Morning Meditation @ The Whale Deck (Free) Join Bernie Vorster for an introduction to the art of meditation and connect with nature overlooking the Indian Ocean.

7:00am (2hrs) WIN – Walking in Nature – Registration & Coffee at the Whale Deck (R20 donation to Ramsgate Conservancy), Set off at 7.30am, a fairly easy 4km walk – suitable for all ages – dogs on leads welcome. Enjoy a gentle beach walk along the Ramsgate Marine Ramble, turn inland at Beach Road, where there will be a water table to refresh you before the incline to the Wild Frangipani Trail and then back to the Whale Deck for breakfast. As you walk, please take part in our enviro clean up.

8:30am (30 mins) Breakfast with a View @ The Whale Deck (R30 payable at the Deck) Ramsgate Conservancy volunteers will be serving delectable grilled chicken breakfast rolls with tea or coffee.  All funds raised go to Ramsgate Conservancy for use in their many environmental projects.

8:45am (60 mins) Recycled art demo with the WESSA Beach Stewards @ The Whale Deck (Free). Explore the creative side of rubbish and learn how to turn trash into treasure.

9.55am (25 mins) Author’s Talk –  John Costello – Mkambati & the Wild Coast (Free)

10:30am (10 mins) Author’s Talk – Helena Davis – Wind in the Wheatfields (Free)

10:45am (25 mins) Author’s Talk – Nick Van der Leak – Van Gogh (Free)

11:20am (40 mins) Author’s Talk –Rob Caskie – Story teller, Cultural Guide (Free)

12:10pm (30 mins) Author’s Talk & Poetry –Kwazi Nglandisa & Luleka Mhlanzi (Free)
