Everest Avalanche Survivor Lecture

Everest Avalanche Survivor Lecture

Surviving the avalanche – An inspirational evening with Rob Bentley

Rob Bentley was on Mount Everest when the 7.8 earthquake struck Nepal on 25 April 2015 – causing a huge avalanche on the mountain. He does not see himself as an adventurer, but rather someone who understands the need to live life! His motto is: “If your life flashes before your eyes one day, make sure it’s worth watching.”

Well, his life flashed before his eyes a year ago, and because of his quick action in grabbing a phone and recording what flashed before his eyes – the whole world has shared his experience!

Rob will be speaking of his experience and showing videos that he took of the event.  All funds raised from the sale of tickets for the event  – to be held at the Uvongo Town Hall on June 3rd 2016 at 6pm  – will go directly to the  charities administered on the South Coast by the Lions, Rotary and Rotary Ann’s clubs.  Ticket price of R100 adults and R70 students under 18 will include a burger, pancake and glass of wine/soft drink.
